It's my blog and I'll write what I want to.

Totally off topic. Went to see the Counting Crows at Birmingham Academy last Friday with Mrs T.

We were about four rows back from the front and off to one side a bit. The Crows were superb. Hands down one of my favourite bands. I took some pictures.

    1. Only round here, of course.

Actually it had a 10pm curfew so they only played 90 minutes. Didn't do Mr Jones.

      But they were awesome.

  2. Hurrah you've seen them lately! - Mrs H and I are off to see them at the O2 Manchester Apollo this very evening. Sawthem a few years ago at the SECC in Glasgow - absolutely great concert! Glad you enjoyed it - cant wait!

    1. Yes, - me & Mrs T went so it was 2 for joy. I was going to see them in Manchester, but couldn't go, so Master Trebian & girlfriend will be down the front instead. See - I brought my kids up right.

Saw them with Master Trebian in Hyde Park at Wireless in 2007 (I think). Fantastic band. See them again if given half a chance.

  3. excellent - Mrs H and i saw Tom Petty and the heartbreakers at the royal albert hall last summer - I think they rank alongside for excellent musicianship and great lyricism. Important to expose the next generation to that, as opposed to what tv keeps suggesting might be talent

  5. oh yes - 9 - 11, did your son mention the comic moment when he forgot where he was in the song? Don't know if thats in the set every night or it was just a funny moment - very entertaining either way. The set was astonishing - better than last time I saw them I think - good new stuff, great accoustic middle set, and some powerful stuff towards the end - but no Mr Jones! Great venue and crowd - one of those nights as they say. The rendition of washington square was genuinely poignant as he's flying home on saturday after the glasgow secc tonight.
